Up to the end of 2025, the online edition of Share International magazine presents a selection of items from the printed edition. Each online edition includes a complete article by Benjamin Creme's Master. Most other articles reproduced here, covering a wide range of topics, are excerpts. The online edition usually also includes a selection of Questions and Answers, Readers' letters, and photographs of Signs of Maitreya's presence. From the beginning of 2026, the printed edition is no longer being produced, but the entire magazine is available on this website.

From the inception of Share International magazine, Benjamin Creme’s Master provided an article every month for nearly 35 years. These were intended to be published not only at the time they were written, but also whenever appropriate according to world circumstances.
More and more, the nations are beginning to recognize, to take seriously and to deal with, an age-old problem, namely corruption. In some parts of the world, corruption has been a way of life for centuries. This has benefited the few, of course, at the expense of the many. For untold ages, corrupt leaders and powerful politicians have waxed rich on the taxes imposed on their subjects and citizens. In modern times, the large corporations of the West have been found guilty of ‘cooking the books’ on a massive scale, while in the East it is taken for granted that every transaction needs the ‘greasing’ of someone’s palm.
Corruption is endemic, and runs through some societies from the president or prime minister to the police and sport. Electoral corruption is rampant, as recent elections have demonstrated, even in countries supposedly dedicated to freedom and democracy. Such corrupt governments fail and betray their peoples and so surrender their right to govern.
In the midst of such corruption is it possible to engender trust without which the future for men would be bleak indeed? Without trust, a fairer sharing of resources would be a forlorn hope. Without trust, the global decisions required to sustain our planetary home would never be taken. Without blessed and beneficent trust, men would forfeit their right of Stewardship of Planet Earth, and would seal themselves off for aeons from further evolution.
Thus would it be, and thus should men tackle seriously, and without delay, the corrosive impact of corruption on every strata of society, and every nook and cranny of our planetary life.
To help men to do this, you may be sure that Maitreya will be at pains to demonstrate to men the eroding effect of corruption in all its many manifestations. He will show that if men would become the Gods they essentially are, they must abandon the old ways of deceit and subterfuge. To tackle the serious environmental problems, He will explain, men must work together, in trust. Without trust, Maitreya will emphasize, little can be done. So steeped in corruption themselves are the leaders of the nations, that they trust no one.
Maitreya will show that men have but one choice to create the necessary trust: to share the produce of this bounteous Earth more evenly across the world, and so end for ever the starvation and poverty of millions, dying in the midst of plenty. Will the leaders listen to the words of Maitreya? For the most part, possibly, no; not at first. But soon the people everywhere will hear, and see the wisdom of Maitreya’s advice. They will say amen to His wise words and support His Cause. World public opinion will find its voice and its Mentor, and against its power the obstructive voices of the greedy dictators and corrupt politicians will fade. So will it be, and so will begin the cleansing and transformation of this world.

These articles are by a senior member of the Hierarchy of Masters of Wisdom. His name, well-known in esoteric circles, is not yet being revealed. Benjamin Creme, a principal spokesman about the emergence of Maitreya, was in constant telepathic contact with this Master who dictated his articles to him.
At every lecture he gave around the world, and virtually every day of his life, Benjamin Creme was asked numerous questions covering a vast range of topics. We draw on this large recorded resource and present here a selection of answers provided over the years by Mr Creme and his Master.
While we cannot confirm or indicate if a Master was involved in the events described in the following letter, the experience may be such that it ‘speaks for itself’ in providing hope, inspiration and comfort. We present such letters for your consideration.
After giving a lecture on Maitreya and the Masters of Wisdom at a public event in Marina Del Rey, California, on Saturday 17 February 2024, I was approached by a woman who appeared to be in her early 50s. She said she had enjoyed my talk and that she had learned a great deal. Then she said that she was of the Roman Catholic faith, so was reluctant to attend events like this, but was glad she did.
As background, I explain and hand out Maitreya’s ‘hand’ photo to those who want it at every lecture. She was one of those who took it. She asked me if I thought that God or Jesus would be upset if she also talked to Maitreya. I told her absolutely not, that the Masters have no egos, so they do not get jealous.
She wanted to talk further, so we sat down. She told me that her grandson had muscular dystrophy and was going to be traveling to the eastern US to a special hospital for treatment. She said she was going along with her daughter and grandson on this trip as support for them. She asked if there was anything she could do to help her grandson be calm before the trip, and to help him during the trip.
I took Maitreya’s ‘hand’ photo from her and laid it on my lap. I suggested that, when she was ready, she look at Maitreya’s ‘hand’ and, in her own words, ask Him to bless her grandson with love, peace of mind, and healing, as it was His will. I suggested that she say “as it is His will” because the Masters know ‘the big picture’ better than we do and because saying that demonstrates great faith.
When I finished talking, she looked at me with surprise on her face. She then told me that while I was talking about using Maitreya’s ‘hand’, the palm of the ‘hand’ glowed. I asked her if she meant that it had a shine to it. She said, “No. It actually glowed brightly.” I did not see a glow. But I have no doubt that is the experience she was given. To my way of thinking, that meant that Maitreya wanted her to use His ‘hand’ and that He was anxious to help her grandchild.
How Maitreya is so available and happy to help us, is demonstrated time and time again. What a blessing. What joyful work this is. What hope He brings!
We present here phenomena which, to the editors, are “signs of hope” and “signs of the time”, but which have not been confirmed by Benjamin Creme’s Master.
We present them for your consideration only, since we cannot now make use of the confirmation and additional information which in the past was always provided by BC’s Master.
Circles of Light have been appearing at various times since 2017 around a home in Culver City, California USA. Culver City is located in the Los Angeles area.
On 7 March 2024 at about 7 pm, a driver was shocked to see a string of sequentially blinking lights over the town of Lowville, New York. After initially noticing the lights, which appeared only briefly, the driver slammed on the brakes of his car. A couple of minutes later, the lights appeared again, allowing him time to film them with his cell phone. The anomalous objects can be seen moving through the evening sky, and then one by one and in sequence they all disappear. The witness discounted the possibility of the lights being military flares or Starlink satellites, both of which he had seen before. (Source: coasttocoastam.com. National UFO Reporting Center)
We present a selection of quotations about Courage and Truth. This selection is taken from Maitreya (Messages from Maitreya the Christ), Benjamin Creme’s Master (A Master Speaks Volume Two) and Benjamin Creme’s writings.
If he thinks that they are wrong, it behoves a disciple to say so. If he just skulks and pretends that he has no point of view on the subject, and nothing better, clearer, more true to give, then he is a disciple only in name. The true disciple is the disciple who knows no fear. That is the number one essential for all disciples. (Benjamin Creme, The Art of Living)
Marc-André Selosse is a microbiologist, ecologist and teacher. A professor at the Muséum national d’histoire naturelle in Paris and at the universities of Gdansk, Poland and Kunming, China, his research focuses on the ecology and evolution of mutually beneficial relationships (symbiosis).
Part one, ‘The Origin of the World: A natural history of the soil for those who tread on it’ (Share International April 2024), looked at the composition of our planet’s soil and the teeming life that inhabits it. This second article is based on Selosse’s books L’origine du monde [The origin of the world] and La symbiose [Symbiosis], in which he shows how cooperation is a fundamental process of life on earth. A third article will look at the impact of man on soil, and the impact of soil on climate change.
“No organism can live alone, each has a symbiotic entourage without which neither its physiology nor its ecological success can be understood.”
Symbioses and cooperation in the soil
In nature, there are many different kinds of relationships between plants, microbes and insects. We know of temporary relationships with reciprocal benefits, such as between pollinating insects and flowering plants; these interactions may last for some time. However, in his book La symbiose, Selosse focuses on symbiosis as a persisting association between two or more individuals of at least two different species — partners chosen over several generations and in different places. Often, one cannot live without the other. The law of the jungle is often cited as a fundamental law of nature, but Selosse shows that in the soil, in life, the fundamental laws are partnership and symbiosis. Parasitism remains the exception and attracts attention because it leads to dysfunction — the host plant eventually succumbs. Life practises symbiosis on a large scale, and is found in microbes, plants, animals and humans.
Selosse describes numerous cases and techniques of symbiosis, examining more than 500 species and groups. …
“Symbiosis is a dynamic equilibrium, the maintenance of which is controlled by the partners and which also depends on environmental conditions.”
Cooperation through the roots
Mycorrhizal networks, linking tree roots and fungal hyphae, are networks for exchanging information and food. A fungus covering several square meters will form mycorrhizae with several plants. If one plant feeds it more sugar or consumes less of its minerals, this will indirectly help the other. Trees of the same species can merge their roots, thus exchanging missing sugars or minerals that will feed a sick tree or a young seedling. In tropical forests, undergrowth species that are too far from the sun obtain supplementary sugars through the mycorrhizae of neighboring trees.
When an attacked plant begins to synthesize tannins that repel parasites, this signal is transmitted to other plants by the mycorrhiza network, which will then synthesize this tannin before being attacked.
Plants build and maintain the soil in which they live with the help of numerous allies: fungi, bacteria and earthworms.
“The soil is, therefore, also a place of mutual aid and a reservoir of partners with which to form symbioses. The rhizosphere, even if it can attract malefactors, is a cozy nest where good microbial fairies look after the plant’s foundations.”
By living in harmony with nature, the First Peoples understood and respected this universal symbiosis that our civilization has forgotten and is trying to rediscover. All too often, those who monopolize wealth behave like parasites, just as humanity, acting like a predator, behaves like an invasive and destructive species. In a way, humans must relearn to live symbiotically together and with the Earth. …
“Did we but realize and experience our identity as an immortal Being which cannot die or be obliterated, our fear of death would vanish. If, further, we realized that after so-called death we enter into a new and clearer light in which the sense of our identity is altogether more vivid, that there are yet higher aspects of our Being awaiting our recognition of which until then we are unaware, our whole approach to death would change for the better.” — Benjamin Creme
A recent ‘Long-Read’ article by Alex Blasdel in The Guardian, ‘The new science of death: There’s something happening in the brain that makes no sense’ points to new research into the brain that indicates there may be a less distinct line between life and death than previously thought.
Blasdel notes that advances in resuscitation techniques such as CPR since the 1960s have made it possible for many thousands of people to survive what would otherwise have caused their deaths, with one in ten of such survivors claiming to have had an NDE. Over time, such detailed experiences have appeared consistent enough to warrant further study, posing the possibility that perhaps the mind or soul exists separate from the living body. …
In 2015, Jimo Borjigin, a professor of neurology at the University of Michigan, together with several colleagues took the first close look at the record of electrical activity in the brain of a 24-year old patient who had been taken off life support. “What they discovered,” Blasdel explains, “ — in results reported for the first time last year — was almost entirely unexpected, and has the potential to rewrite our understanding of death.”
“In the moments after Patient One was taken off oxygen,” Blasdel reports, “there was a surge of activity in her dying brain. Areas that had been nearly silent while she was on life support suddenly thrummed with high-frequency electrical signals called gamma waves. In particular, the parts of the brain that scientists consider a ‘hot zone’ for consciousness became dramatically alive. In one section, the signals remained detectable for more than six minutes. In another, they were 11 to 12 times higher than they had been before Patient One’s ventilator was removed.”
Blasdel explains that Professor Borjigin describes the brain activity as reflecting “a kind of hyperdrive”, and that there was “an intense synchronization” of her brainwaves — a state that is associated with many cognitive functions like heightened attention and memory. Different parts of her brain were “suddenly in close communication with each other”. …
Up to now, Blasdell explains, most researchers believed that as soon as oxygen stops going to the brain, neurological activity precipitously declines. While there had been a few earlier instances where brain waves had been reported in dying human brains, “nothing as detailed and complex as what occurred in Patient One had ever been detected.”

The Zone of Interest, loosely based on a novel by Martin Amis, follows the family life of the real-life Commandant of Auschwitz, Rudolf Höss, at a moment (1943) in World War II. The designation, the Interest Zone — in German, Interessengebiet — was given to an SS-administered area of over 40 square kilometres, which had been established in early 1941 to receive Poles and Jews from the villages near the camp after their expulsion. It is a chilling name that reflected the cold, clinical approach of the Nazi regime.
Unusually, the film is not about the victims but the perpetrators. The Höss family lives right next door to one of the camps in the Auschwitz complex — Auschwitz ll, the ‘death camp’ — only separated from them by a fairly low wall; this wall is the most important image in the film, representing how the family can carry on as if oblivious to what is happening on the other side. …
I have mentioned this film to several people who have said: “Oh no, I don’t want to see it — too depressing”: which precisely illustrates its message. Except for a few, very brave people, most of us ignore the suffering that these days confronts us all the time on the media; and indeed in every homeless person we may see on our pavements. ‘Life has to go on’, they say; ‘we cannot but live our lives as best we can’.
Naomi Klein, Canadian writer and activist, writes in a Guardian review that everyone she spoke to who had seen the film was reminded of Gaza. On the scene where the family are sifting through a box of objects taken from the killed prisoners, Klein writes: “I have no idea how anyone can watch that scene and not think of the Israeli soldiers who have filmed themselves rifling through the lingerie of Palestinians whose homes they are occupying and destroying in Gaza, or boasting of stealing shoes and jewellery for their fiancés and girlfriends, or taking group selfies with Gaza’s rubble as the backdrop.”
Klein continues: The film shows “the ways that genocide becomes ambient, the way those of us a little further away from the walls can block the images, and tune out the cries, and just … carry on.” …
In his Oscar acceptance speech, Jonathan Glazer, himself a Jew, compared the Holocaust with the war in Gaza and summed up his aim in making the film: “Our film shows where dehumanization leads, at its worst. It shaped all of our past and present. Right now we stand here as men who refute their Jewishness and the Holocaust being hijacked by an occupation which has led to conflict for so many innocent people. … He dedicated his film to Alexsandra Bystrom-Kolodziejezyk, as someone who ‘resisted’, and whom he had met shortly before her death at a time when he was deeply disturbed about the film’s message. He described her as “the girl who glows in the film as she did in life”; and who gave him hope.
Surely no one disputes that we live in insane times. We have lost our moral compass, it seems. What got us here is that we have over the decades allowed major issues to go unresolved in a slow but insidious process of turning a blind eye to hunger, inequality, homelessness, environmental destruction and more. We have permitted laws to be weakened, restrictions to be ‘eased’ so that cheating with impunity is possible. A network of ‘interests’ simply buys and corrupts the judiciary. The buying and selling of politicians is blatant; profit is holy, while the people are forgotten. International treaties, laws and rules have been broken as the previously illegal has been made legal or connived at.
Somewhere along the line between 1945 and now, we lost or simply abandoned our sense of ourselves as compassionate beings. We have become impervious to the pain and misery of others — and of ourselves. We have grown inured to barbarity. We have forgotten that our world can be kind. Uglification, violence, misogyny — all the ingredients of a rampant materialism mixed with crazed notions of messianism and biblical literalism — have created a toxic cocktail that many of our leaders and their masters appear to be imbibing ‘like there’s no tomorrow’. Have they taken that literally?
The horror is that we appear to admire these traits in our leaders or would-be leaders. We even vote for people who embody this hate-filled vengeful image. Then we must ask: do we identify with this description of ourselves? Do we choose such people because they excuse our own failings? Does their narcissism and selfishness reflect our own alienation from our core, our communal sense of ourselves as failed beings?
Loss of innocence
If we take that as our hypothesis we need to ask what happened. What happened to corrupt us and turn us from our beautiful, joyful selves into a selfish, cruel creature? We have a distant memory of ourselves and of that reality: as we were as young children with a strong sense of justice and of caring for others. …
Our lives are largely in the hands of politicians who are either trapped in a corrupt system or are corrupt themselves, having sold their souls to Big Interests of various kinds. Whether our children can breathe clean air, whether we have healthcare and decent schools, whether our communities are invested in or left to decay, everything that makes our lives positive and good is in question if we continue to sleep-walk deeper into apathy crushed by commercialization and corruption. If we vote, we have nothing to lose. Don’t vote, and you get the choice made by others.
Benjamin Creme often emphasized how vital it is to participate in helping to ensure the future. “I have no information on Maitreya’s view of this but I am sure He would suggest that you exercise your democratic right and elect a more just administration. You should also make known, through the available media resources, your non-acceptance of the particular governmental acts with which you disagree. In other words, get more involved, participate. Broadly speaking, in a democratic society, we get the governments we deserve who reach and retain power if only through our neglect of our democratic rights.” (Share International, January/February 1994)
“Maitreya says: ‘Sharing is divine. … When you share you recognize God in your brother.’ This is not just a nice idea, it is a divine idea. It is the nature of divinity. Justice is divine, freedom is divine, and Maitreya comes to show us how to make justice and freedom through sharing. Then we will make spiritually correct political, economic and religious structures. We need government to organize the means of living together in peace and harmony, but He says we should participate — we get the politicians we deserve.” (Share International, November 1992) …
Maitreya’s Teachings, and the work of Benjamin Creme and his Master, repeatedly advise those who wish to go forward into a new civilization based on the reality of the oneness of humanity to live soul-centred lives and to practice three essential spiritual habits: honesty of mind, sincerity of spirit and detachment. However the near future may work out, if a new civilization is to flourish, one in which humanity comes to know itself as a divine being and essentially one with all life on this planet, it must come through experience of the higher self. That experience, with the help of the Masters, must be so powerful that no demagogue, no amount of insane propaganda can influence us, can waylay us. At this existential moment we need to act and move forward to that experience which is within our grasp now.
