From the inception of Share International magazine, Benjamin Creme’s Master provided an article every month for nearly 35 years. These were intended to be published not only at the time they were written, but also whenever appropriate according to world circumstances.
Nowhere is division and disharmony more prevalent than on Planet Earth. No other planet of our system is so immersed in competition, so ignorant of the benefits of co-operation. Nowhere else is seen the results of such folly: anxiety, illness of all kinds; wealth and poverty side by side, insecurity and war.
Why should this be so? Why should the inhabitants of this most richly fertile world quarrel so over its ownership?
To some extent the answer lies in the very richness of Earth’s resources. Earth is the most densely material of worlds and for long ages men have been in thrall to its material wealth, and have fought and competed for its control. This has brought the human kingdom (and with it the animal) to the verge of destruction. With the nuclear bomb man has brought his very existence into jeopardy.
It is this fact above all which has prompted Maitreya’s decision to return with His group to the everyday world, at least a thousand years ahead of the planned date. His aim is to coax men back from the brink, to show them how dangerous and destructive is their lust for power, their greed and competition.
He will outline for them a simpler way, the way of co-operation, justice and trust.
Many there are today who, in their hearts, renounce the iniquities of the present materialism which pervades the planet. They long for justice and peace and march and demonstrate for their fulfilment. More and more, the peoples of the world are beginning to recognize that together they have the power to change the actions of powerful men. Thus does Maitreya trust the people and gives voice to their demands. Thus does He join their marches and adds His voice to theirs.
Amid the general avarice there is, too, an awakening of conscience among politicians and others in several countries. The debts of the poorest nations are being cancelled and a new approach to the grinding poverty of so many is taking place. The fruits of twenty years of labour are beginning to ripen. Maitreya’s beneficent energies are working their magic and a new spirit is gaining strength.
Thus the attitudes and habits of countless ages are beginning to crumble before the tide of new and unstoppable energies wielded by Maitreya and His group. Men need have no fear; the meek, indeed, the poor, the powerless, the toilers everywhere, shall inherit the Earth. Men will learn the beauty of co-operation and service and one by one the bastions of power will fall. The empires of power and wealth will disappear as the new urge for sharing and oneness grips the minds of men. Thus will it be and thus will man regain his sanity and start the climb again.

These articles are by a senior member of the Hierarchy of Masters of Wisdom. His name, well-known in esoteric circles, is not yet being revealed. Benjamin Creme, a principal spokesman about the emergence of Maitreya, was in constant telepathic contact with this Master who dictated his articles to him.
At every lecture he gave around the world, and virtually every day of his life, Benjamin Creme was asked numerous questions covering a vast range of topics. We draw on this large recorded resource and present here a selection of previously unpublished answers provided over the years by Mr Creme and his Master.
Share International has a reserve of unpublished letters which were confirmed by Benjamin Creme and his Master to be genuine encounters with Masters, or with a ‘spokesperson’.
On 31 December 2009, in the early evening, I noticed a very bright star in the eastern sky. I knew it couldn’t have been Jupiter because the planet had been moving south-west for weeks, so it wouldn’t have been in that position and this star was much brighter. My son and I went outside; he wanted to take a photo of the partial lunar eclipse and I wanted to look at the star. When we got outside my son began to erect his telescope to view the moon and I noticed that the star had either shrunk or disappeared, but there wasn’t anything as bright as I had originally seen.
Then suddenly we heard a noise and, thinking it was a helicopter, we both looked up. The noise stopped, then a large orange ball of light came into view. My son had already decided it was a helicopter and ignored it but I said no. There were no other lights to be seen and there was no noise. The orange light slowly moved high above the rooftops until it was out of sight. I was convinced it must have been a spaceship. Then, much later, I read some letters in the January-February 2010 edition of Share International about others seeing a ball of orange light that was identified as Maitreya’s Lightship. Now I am wondering whether we too saw His ship that night.
[Editor's note: Lightships are created and used by Maitreya as a means of taking His associates and workers around the world, showing them people and places in a way otherwise impossible for them to experience. Normally, Maitreya keeps the lights (lightships) invisible but is now allowing them to be seen — another sign of the imminence of His emergence into the open.]
From time to time we receive letters from subscribers that intrigue us. The following describes one such. In 2021 Share International received a letter from a subscriber sending their subscription fee, a donation and thanking us for the magazine and its varied, thought-provoking and inspiring content.
The letter writer went on to describe how, as a young person, she had had an interesting experience in about 1945: “As a schoolgirl I was taken to a talk by Alice Bailey and so I was well prepared for the information coming from Benjamin Creme.”
We wrote to ask whether we could telephone and talk to her. We asked what she remembered from Alice Bailey’s talk; she replied that, presumably having been a young schoolgirl at the time, she hadn’t really paid close attention. Amusingly, though, she did remember that Mrs Bailey was dressed smartly but in a rather old-fashioned style, probably because it was immediately after World War II, when daily life lacked luxuries.
In the ensuing conversation we learned that her parents had known and read books by Alice Bailey, which meant that she herself had grown up in a household which accepted the existence of Masters and of the World Teacher. This had provided the perfect background information which made the next step quite natural: “So I was well prepared for the information coming from Benjamin Creme. My copies of Share International go back to 1982 and make very interesting reading.”
She began subscribing to Share International in 1982 and, as we talked, our subscriber remarked with simple conviction and patience: “Time doesn’t really come into it, does it?”
This account of our subscriber’s experience was written with her permission and request for anonymity. We received and read the original letter with pleasure and gratitude. We welcome such support and continued interest in Benjamin Creme’s information.
We present here phenomena which, to the editors, are “signs of hope” and “signs of the time”, although they are not confirmed by Benjamin Creme’s Master. We strive to be as thorough as possible in our investigation of each ‘miracle’ or ‘sign’, but present them for your consideration only, since we cannot now make use of the confirmation and additional information which in the past was always provided by Mr Creme’s Master. Further details, when available, are given in the captions to the photographs.
We present a selection of quotations on the theme of ‘miracles’ or ‘Signs of the new time’ and why they are so prevalent now. The quotations are taken from Maitreya (Messages from Maitreya the Christ), Benjamin Creme’s Master (A Master Speaks Volumes One and Two), and Benjamin Creme’s writings.

The ‘hand’ is a means of invoking the healing energies and help of Maitreya. By placing your hand over it, or simply looking at it, Maitreya’s healing and help can be invoked (subject to karmic law). Until Maitreya emerges fully, and we see His face, it is the closest He can come to us. Maitreya has said: “My help is yours to command, you have only to ask.”

For regular readers of Share International, free energy is not an unknown phenomenon. The work of pioneers like Nikola Tesla and proponents like Jeane Manning has received attention in this magazine sufficient to at least familiarize the reader with the basic characteristics of free energy. At a young age — during his college years — Karsten van Asdonk (now 27) came into contact with this subject and he remains committed to ongoing research and development. In his Energy Abundance foundation, based in the Netherlands, he focuses in the broadest sense on raising awareness about free energy. This includes lectures, a website, and soon also a book with the appropriate title: Energy in Abundance. Niels Bos interviewed him for Share International.
Share International: Can you tell us something about the origin of Energy Abundance?
Karsten van Asdonk: Yes, that happened in November 2019, when I attended the Global Breakthrough Energy Movement conference. That was the first congress about free energy I attended and it happened to be in the Netherlands. After a number of years of being very enthusiastic about free energy, this was an opportunity to go there and meet inventors and people in the field. It was very inspiring and I met Casper Boom, a filmmaker who was just as enthusiastic about free energy as I am. We immediately became friends.
This gave rise to the idea of making a documentary about free energy as together we had already gathered a lot of knowledge and inspiration about it. We also felt that the technology was not so much the problem, but that people need to become more aware: first of themselves and of the world, and then of free energy. And so the idea was to use the documentary as a vehicle to raise awareness. This is how Energy Abundance was born. The name stands for the awareness and dissemination of free energy, and also the research into it. …
SI: How does it work and how can I manifest it myself?
KvA: My background is technical, I studied biomedical technology at the Technical University in Eindhoven as part of a Master’s course in Applied Physics. So, I was interested in the technology behind free energy and started doing research myself into how we can tap it from the ether — that surrounding field — with an electromagnetic device. And that has been my area of research since last year. The idea of the documentary may have somewhat expired, but we still keep an eye on a lot of developments in the field in the Netherlands and beyond, and we network with a lot of people. Because there are still a lot of groups and individuals who are engaged, it becomes more and more interesting and important as the crises in the world increase.
Those are actually our two main goals: the first is networking, connecting and raising awareness and the other is doing physical research into it and actually manifesting the technology.
SI: And you’re also writing a book — what’s the main focus of the book?
KvA: The title of the book is Energy in Abundance and the hope is that could become a new kind of standard introduction to the phenomenon of free energy. … We wanted a book that would be simple, clear, compact, and concise. That is the purpose of this book, to serve as a first introduction — nice and compact and with a fresh approach that is suitable for our times.
SI: You’ve just mentioned ‘the ether’, or the ‘etheric realms’. How would you explain this topic to your neighbour?
KvA: That’s a good question. The ether could be described as the background field of energy that is always present everywhere. And that’s something very abstract at first, because we can’t see or feel that at all. But you can think of it like this: that every atom and every molecule in the universe is connected to some kind of substrate, in technical terms a substrate, with which it is all connected. And even in empty space, where there are no atoms and molecules, that substratum is still there. We can demonstrate this, but we cannot say yet from conventional science that energy can be extracted from it, but we can calculate how much energy it contains. And that’s huge. You could say that it is the background substance of the entire universe from which everything originates or is connected.
Why is utopian thinking so often met with scepticism? Our present political, economic and social systems are failing to address the growing inequality, the abject poverty in a world of plenty, climate change, migration, and depletion of the ecosystem. It is safe to say that utopian thinking is not just an idealistic fantasy but perhaps vital in redefining our future — a future that sparks feelings of positive anticipation, as opposed to the worrying and stressful reality portrayed by mainstream media. Utopian thinking is not science fiction either, which can be entertaining but very often just shows a dystopian continuation of present day monotony and raw ugliness, a materialistic world view in which human values and humanity’s moral development is far surpassed by technology — visions that bind us to an unsustainable and unliveable future.
In esoteric literature, many inspiring visions can be found of civilizations representing our highest values to help us visualize and think along more constructive lines. A comprehensive study was commissioned by the UN in 1980 which resulted in the visionary ‘Brandt Report’ with practical recommendations for global, long term stability. And yet, the neoliberal Dutch prime minister has said: “Vision is like an elephant blocking the view”, in other words, an obstacle to short-term profit. So again, why the continued scepticism, inertia and resistance to change that is so common?. …
Is it fear of change, or is it indifference?
There is the fear that change will mean deterioration — a deeply rooted fear of privation — and the fear of having to give up one’s privileges or freedom. A complacent and not-so-charitable attitude exists amongst the privileged, that “We are alright. Why should we care?” This raises two relevant questions to which the general public would need to have answers in order to move forward: Firstly, are these utopian visions beneficial for all people, including the economically privileged? And if so are they practically feasible?
Compelling insights can be found in the Ageless Wisdom Teachings (as well as forward-thinking policies such as presented in the Brandt report and seen in other socio-political experiments) that illustrate how a society that shares more equitably and co-operates becomes much more efficient, and how people feel much happier, more secure and have more leisure time without our present modes of hostile competition, confrontation, divisiveness and greed. For example, as discussed in: Operation survival Earth by Stephan Denaerde, Inside the Spaceships by George Adamski and From the Mundane to the Magnificent by Vera Stanley Alder (previously cited in Share International and authenticated by Benjamin Creme).
For those who are familiar with the Ageless Wisdom Teachings, the notion that the whole universe is full of life (and similar human life forms) and that we on Planet Earth are not the most advanced civilization, does not seem strange. If we look at descriptions of advanced civilizations, it is interesting that, although a society may be organized differently, the underlying morality, the human and spiritual values, are similar and apparently universal. A beautiful illustration of ‘unity in diversity’.
So called utopia is not a vague or mystical fantasy. A common definition is: ‘A place, state or condition that is ideally perfect in respect of politics, laws, customs, and social conditions.’ This does not mean all people are perfect (or ‘enlightened’), but that the system is; it sustains all life and creates the circumstances for people to grow spiritually, to expand their knowledge of the universe and the laws of life. It is not static. It accelerates the spiritual journey towards ‘perfection’, although as esotericists know, the evolution of consciousness has no end and perfection is therefore relative.
