The June issue of Share International featured an article about the Belgian esotericist Elisabeth Warnon; the article ended with short excerpts from texts about the coming of Maitreya and the Masters of Wisdom. There are 18 texts in Elizabeth Warnon’s five books about Maitreya. Reading these different texts show, to my mind, that they are not all the same in tone and style. This could point to the possibility that these texts were dictated to her by different Masters (in one of the passages it is explained that, “To work for one Master is to work for all the Masters because They are One”). In some writings there are also aspects that can be considered as “unknown” or “new” compared to what we know already.
In Warnon’s books there is much talk about the ‘New Era’, the Coming of Maitreya and the Masters of Wisdom. Although I cannot prove that Elisabeth Warnon received her teachings from the Masters of Wisdom, her life and the quality of her writings are inspiring enough for me to submit this collection of quotations about Maitreya in a spirit of openness. May they inspire you as they inspire me.

Maitreya’s New Era Manifestation
“How does it look? You see it in the collapse of old values. You perceive it in the fear, uncertainty and doubt that reign everywhere! But shouldn’t the foundations be undermined in order to bring down buildings? You are witnessing all these collapses. But then what?
Then comes the period of reconstruction.
The period of free and orderly creativity.
The period of co-ordination and co-operation.
The period of voluntary discipline.
The period of planetary unification.

The responsibility of humanity
“Maitreya’s time is entering a period of manifestation in which everyone can become a leader. The whole of nature aspires to be under His leadership. The leader needs to understand his duties and responsibilities towards humans, animals, trees and stones. How much the earth would be transformed if everyone became “King” in his own kingdom! When I speak of a king, I mean a protector, a supporter, a servant of the Hierarchy, a collaborator in His service. Love one another!
Have you not understood that in order to Love, you must accept the stripping, take up your cross and follow Me? If men could only understand that the word ‘sacrifice’ is synonymous with Joy. Does your soul open like the rose of spring? Does your soul smile like the face of a child in wonder? Then you understood! You are one of My people! You can read My secrets! You can draw from the riches of My Kingdom. Let your heart speak with My voice. May your mind create in harmony with Mine. May your hands distribute the roses of My garden. Oh you who can understand My words, awaken hearts, awaken souls!” (Book of Joy)
