Within months from now a new era will have begun. Almost imperceptibly, over the last few years, great changes have been taking place in the world which herald a new dawn, a gradual transformation of society and its structures on a scale hitherto unknown. Soon, the first outlines of the new structures will be seen. Before long, there will be set in place the initial ground plan on which the new civilization will be built.
All of this depends on the acceptance by humanity of the principles of sharing and justice, brotherhood and love. Without such acceptance naught can save this world. For this reason, Maitreya has named these principles as the foundation of all progress for man. When you see Him, He will call for the implementation of these basic and divine concepts so that all men may live in harmony and justice for the first time. Soon, men will see that there is no alternative to sharing, that all else has failed, and with united voice will call for the restructuring of the world along more just lines. Thus will it be.
Initially, of course, there will be those who will resist the changes for which this transformation calls, seeking to cling to their ancient privileges and power. Not all men are at the same point of readiness for change. But, as the need for change becomes more and more self-evident, they will find it increasingly difficult to influence events and, in gathering momentum, all will be remade.
It will take time to reorganize, totally, all world structures, but a start can soon be made, a foothold in the New won, and a significant step taken in the new direction in which humanity must go.
Clearly, many hands will be needed in the creation of the new society. Many are the tasks to be performed. Many are the adjustments which must be made. All who wish to serve will hear the call to service ringing in their hearts and from the heart will they respond. The united voice of the people of all lands calling for justice and sharing will set up an invocation which nothing can resist. Thus will the world be transformed. Thus, gradually, will the new forms be created, the new relationships forged, a new and happier era dawn for humanity under the guidance of the Christ and the Masters.
Today, as never before, to those who would travel more quickly along the evolutionary path is proffered an unique opportunity to serve and grow. Taking upon themselves the task of transformation and thus serving the Plan and the world, they can set new standards by which spiritual progress is measured and speed the process for humanity as a whole. This is the challenge of this time. Disciples today have the opportunity to quicken the evolutionary process for all those who will follow, thus serving the Plan of the Logos in a most potent fashion. Serve and grow. Serve and grow. That is the key to progress on the path.
