A. The appearances are not really of the Madonna at all - the Madonna is a Master. The woman who was the Madonna 2,000 years ago is now a great Master, a very high level initiate, Who is the creator of the thoughtforms which are appearing as the Madonna all over the world. That Master is also responsible for the statues of the Madonna which weep real tears or blood. These appearances, so prevalent today, are among the signs of Maitreya’s presence. They are signs for the Catholic Christian world, because Catholics relate more to the Madonna than they do to Jesus - even though they love Jesus, and see him as God. In response to that adoration these appearances take place for the faithful. They show them that God is concerned with humanity. They are indications, for those who can understand, that there is a Plan, and that God never forgets about the world. If you are a devout Catholic you will see that in religious terms.

The Master Jesus, likewise, is hard at work appearing to people -- for instance, to Sister Anna from Kenya (see Share International, April 1994), who held a press conference on 15 February 1994 and introduced a book in which she states that Jesus Christ appears to her every Thursday and he allowed her to take photographs of him, two of which appear in her book. In one of them, he is crying blood, and every Wednesday night Sister Anna’s face becomes congested and she too weeps blood.

These are signs. Maitreya said, in one of His Messages (No.10): 'Those who search for signs will find them, but My method of manifestation is more simple'. Maitreya does not need the signs, but humanity needs, loves, calls for, signs - ‘if He is the Christ, then there must be signs’. Among the signs are crosses of light which have appeared in windows all over the world, as reported many times in Share International. These, again, are signs for those who need them. For those who need the political, outer signs, they are there; for those who need the mystical signs, they, too, are there.
